Shawn was born in the VHS generation. During his childhood he was exposed to every great and terrible film from the mid 80s through the late 90s. After High School, he attended film school in Portland, OR; focusing on picture editing.

Since then, he has worked on a large variety of projects. Ranging from narrative, documentary, and commercial, to corporate and branded content. His ability to combine classic editing techniques with contemporary trends adds to his versatility as an editor.

He has a spoiled Golden Retriever named Opie and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
